I survived the first morning. Everyone came, stayed awake, and even drew varied interpretations of new testament pie in their seminary journal books. I will admit to lying on the studio room floor after getting #1 on the bus, feeling like I wanted to throw up, my eyes burning, and my body stiff and achy. I then gave in and took a nap while#3 slept. Here is the seminary setup at La Casa de Smartmama-6am- takers? takers?
1. nice students 2.naps 3.1 down 163 mornings to go~

glad you were home and awake...I hope you got your shower!
I'm glad you got a nap in. I love the small size of your class - one year I was in an early-early morning sem class and there were only 5 of us. I think I learned more that year than any other.
What a good friend to send you a survival basket. I think you may need it this first week!
What a fun basket! That was so nice of Laura! Glad your first day went well. I like your "classroom" set up.
Thanks for the update on your first day. I am pulling for you - you can do it! LL to the rescue, nothing like a good friend to bring some sunshine into your life. I'm glad you were on the receiving end this time.:)
oh that is so nice! I'm so glad you got a nap in. Now I feel bad for the evil thing I did to you today. :)
wow!! At your house, I'd be taking a nap everyday if it were me too!!
And yay for sweet friends.
I am so glad you were awake! What good friends you have!
Nothing like a fun basket to give one moral support. The set up looks great, A small group can offer so many different things.....Good luck. At least you can't havetoo many boys rough housing on your floor. xoxox
Day 2 will seem so much nicer now, way to go LL, and smart mama for being willing to tough it out!
That is a really nice friend you have...where can I get one ;)
Just wanted to let you know I got your cherry painting back from the frame store today! Love it!
glad you made it. and glad sis. lewis is taking care of you!
Hooray for you! I LOVE your fabulous classroom set-up. And you have a true friend in LL. The 163 will go by in a flash... really!
what a sweet friend!!
Ooh, flashback of my early 6am seminary coming back! I'm glad it went well. Good luck...it'll get better!
Way to think positive! Hopefully the sick feeling will go away soon. BTW I love the pictures! The one with the road is my favorite. I love it when a picture draws you in and takes you to other places. Which is exactly what the kids will be doing. Such a cozy little spot to learn.
I think what you are missing is all those good breakfasts that your Mother made for you when you were attending early morning seminary! Wish I was there and could deliver them to you each morning....that might get rid of the morning yucks! On my next trip up there, I will promise to provide breakfast on Seminary mornings for you!
I found you at Segullah with your comment. I'm teaching EM seminary, too and want to know where I can get one of those baskets? :)
welcome- I'll ship you my friend Laura Lewis...
the trick is to whine about missing your pillow, engender sympathy and gifts!!
