if it weren't for you son...

My life would be ordinary... My kitchen would not get sprayed with water, nor my carpet with Windex or limeade, the side of my desk would not be used to try out new colored pencils, chalk pastels wouldn't be smeared on the PTO posters, the bag if donuts would still be full, and that Halloween snow globe at target would still be intact. When you have your own children you will appreciate this post.
(this all thievery, destruction, and vandalism occurred before 1 pm today and yet I still l love you!!)
addendum- I was just reading to him on the floor and told him I was getting all the "grouchies" out of him today, to which he responded, "But mom I have a whole load of grouchy fertilizer stored in my garage and a spreader to spread it with!" Oh where oh where does he come up with these things?)

  2. that's the beautiful irony of motherhood. that's ALSO why God makes those guys so cute! It's a natural line of defense. But what's not to love?! And thank goodness he's not twins! Don't know how moms of twin boys get to retirement without being arrested.

  3. As a mother, I have a special love and patience for my own kids that's why God gave them to me. That's what I have to remind myself when mine are pushing all the buttons.

  4. Never ever ever let him meet Campbell. He's totally my kid that does every. single. thing. I was SO proud none of my other kids had ever done.

  6. Wow, what a quote! Too funny! That pic. is just perfect. Today at the park there was a little guy with a shirt with one of those Misters on it (you know those books- Little Miss Giggles, etc.). His read, "Mr. Mischevious". Goes nicely with the picture you posted. I'm sure he'll get a kick out of reading your blog when he is older.
