busted in my "infidelity"

So there was a magazine article I read while back about a common type of women's infidelity "financial infidelity" stashing money, buying extravagant things (like $400 shoes and handbags), trying to hide the money trail, and purchases from their husbands.

I couldn't help but think of this article (and my quite comical variation) when my husband came down to see what I was doing and caught quite indecently with my credit card out funding more microcredit loans. I can pass up Jimmy Choo's but how could I turn down the Lebanese father of 6 trying to build up his spare parts business?

He's a good guy. He chuckles softly and returns upstairs with a bowl of ice cream to leave me to my madness. Deep down I know he agrees. I think I made a compelling case that our baby needed to have his own entrepreneur also.

1. a husband who works hard and trusts me
2. getting 3 things done
3 a "double shot" (2 kisses from my #2 son) his new speciality

or not. that husband is a good man, he knows you're responsible with your $ and the best part is, you're sharing it with others.

I just read something about this. A woman said she buys gift cards for clothing department stores at the grocery store so that it is hidden in the food money. SHOCKING!!! Maybe this might be a blog for me. For now, no one will know how I feel about this topic. . . but feel free to speculate.

I guess women aren't the only ones to drown their sorrows in ice cream...

You should be proud...I mean ashamed with yourself. What is Allen doing in the background, did you ever wonder that? Maybe funding an life needed operation for children in Africa, by drinking water instead of soda at lunch.

smart daddy-o is a complicit party- - whether by his thrifty omission of frivolity ("The I only need 3 pairs of shoes" kind of guy that he is) or his tacit support of all my endeavors-

I love it. If you're going to be spending money ... what better way to spend it? :)
